Bumps in the road… more like pot holes.

This entry will probably be published really late because I have the absolute worst sleeping schedule ever for a 14 almost 15 year old; not to mention my procrastination habits but everyone has those.

Right now, and for the past few months I have been struggling really hard with writing. And honestly its been making me really stressed.

With the huge move across the country and everything I haven’t really had time to write or read anything. I came down here, got settled in and then jumped into a school system that was light years ahead of the one I was coming from; its been rough.

And I started to notice how much I wrote everyday began to get smaller and smaller and it was starting to worry me. So, me being the smarty pants decided, “Oh lets do NanoWrimo, maybe that will get me back on my feet,”

Let me just stop right here and say that was probably the worst thing I could have done at that point in time. Of course I made it to 3,000 something words and was bombarded with tests from my teachers, so I had to quit.

The more my studies called for, the less time I had to write or read and now when I do have time (because of all the breaks during the holidays) I just can’t do it.

No matter what I write it just doesn’t seem to come out right. I feel like I have lost my touch and I’m quite upset about it, one might even say depressed.

I just can’t bring myself to write anything anymore… No matter what, it always ends up in me getting frustrated.

Here, let me try to explain it better.

When I use to write, and when I was writing ‘The Master Plan’ the words just seemed to flow out, I knew exactly what I wanted to say.

But now, it just doesn’t flow anymore. Instead of my writing flowing like a river, its more of a half clogged pipe.

It’s just really annoying you know? Because all I imagined myself doing when I was older was writing.

Has this happened to any of you before? And if so, what sort of tactics have you used to over come this? I’ve looked this up on google and I’ve seen some common things people try, but what’s something that helps you over come this; if its ever happened to you?
